A Letterkenny driver has been one of the first drivers to be caught speeding on National Slow Down Day.
The speeding motorist was caught doing 113kph in an 80kph zone at on the R245 at Cashelshanaghan.
National Slow Down Day takes place between 7am today and 7am tomorrow.
An Garda Síochána said they would like to thank drivers for their compliance during the first two hours of ‘National Slow Down Day’, making Irish roads safer for all road users.
“We continue to appeal to drivers to comply with speed limits in order to reduce the number of speed related collisions, save lives and reduce injuries on our roads,” said a spokesperson.
