A brave local man and woman ran the Dublin marathon at the weekend, raising €5,000 for two worthy Arranmore organisations.
Raymond Ward and Marjorie Craw presented their massive cheque to members of Arranmore RNLI and community group, CFFAM Árainn Mhór, yesterday. Almost €5,000 has been raised so far, which will be split between both organisations.
They arrived back to Arranmore yesterday to a well deserved hero’s welcome.
“Members of our volunteer crew, Arranmore Pipe Band, CFFAM as well as other members of the community turned out to congratulate the pair,” an RNLI spokesperson said.
“Well done, and thank you for choosing Arranmore RNLI as a benefactor of your hard work.”
