Ann-Marie McGlynn has retained her national title at the Dublin Marathon.
The Letterkenny AC runner stormed to victory in the women’s national race, retaining her national marathon title as the first Irish woman to cross the line – finishing sixth in the women’s race overall.
She took the national race win for the second year in a row in a time of 2 hours, 34 minutes and 5 seconds – over a minute clear of second-placed finisher Aoife Kilgallon of Sligo AC.
Her finishing time was almost identical to her dominant winning performance in 2023, as she ran the 26 miles on Dublin’s streets six seconds faster this year compared to last.
A fine way to cap off a title-retaining perfomance from the Donegal woman.
