Letterkenny Music and Drama Group had all-singing all-dancing launch for their December production of Shrek The Musical.
The famous green ogre was welcomed to Letterkenny on Friday 18th October as the cast and crew shared a taster of the upbeat show.
Shrek will be staged at An Grianan Theatre from Tuesday 3rd – Saturday 7th December, making it the ideal festive family day out.
A special addition to the schedule this year is a relaxed performance on Friday 6th December at 11am. The show will be shorter, lighting and sound will be altered, some scary characters will be removed, and a quiet space within An Grianan Theatre will be available throughout the performance for anyone who needs it. Tickets are also reduced in price, with carers going for free.
Tina Higgins and Maire McGinley are back at the helm as co-directors and, as they both work with children and adults with additional needs, the relaxed performance is an inclusive element of the production that is very close to their hearts.
If you love the Shrek movies and all things to do with fairytales, you don’t have to go far, far away to enjoy Shrek The Musical! Tickets are out now and cast announcements will be coming soon.
Follow the adventures of everyone’s favourite ogre Shrek, as he sets off on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona with the help of his wisecracking sidekick Donkey and a band of unforgettable, quirky fairytale creatures.
