Letterkenny businessman charged with breach of the peace in Rathmullan

A Letterkenny businessman charged with a breach of the peace in Rathmullan is to have his case heard in the New Year.

Jim Chambers, 63, appeared before Letterkenny District Court.

The accused, of Glebe, Letterkenny, is charged that on August 13th, 2022 at Rathmullan, he did use or engage in threatening, abusive or insulting language, words or behaviour with intent to provoke a breach of the peace.

The charge is Contrary to Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public) Order Act 1994.

The accused man’s solicitor, Mr Patsy Gallagher, asked for a hearing date for the case for February 6th next.

Judge Eiteain Cunningham set the date and adjourned the case.
