Former Donegal manager and All-Ireland winner Declan Bonner is being tipped to take over the vacant Leitrim manager’s job.
Outgoing manager Mickey Graham agreed to take the reins from Andy Moran in August.
But he stunned county board chiefs a fortnight ago when revealing that he was pulling out of the role due to circumstances beyond his control.
Now it is understood that the Leitrim county board are looking to the Na Rossa clubman to take the reins.
Bonner is currently in charge of Erne Gaels and has led them to the Fermanagh SFC final.
Leitrim took promotion to Division 3 of the NFL for 2025 under Moran before their Tailteann Cup preliminary quarter-final exit to Wicklow.
