A popular young Donegal woman caught the eye of hundreds of thousands of viewers on Channel 4’s hit series ‘First Dates’.
Breda Canning (29) from Newmills, who is now living and working in London, appeared on the BAFTA award-winning documentary series at the weekend.
The music producer made the announcement yesterday to the 45,000 followers of her Instagram page.
“Yup cats outta the bag! Ya girl went on @firstdates last summer and it’s finally getting aired,” she posted.
“Definitely one of the most scariest, funniest and therapeutic experiences I have ever done, and I did it all with a ruptured knee. Want to know what a big Donegal accent sounds like on, @channel4 well now you can.”
Describing herself as ‘loud and sarcastic’, she said the dating scene in London wasn’t working out for her so she decided to sign up for the programme.
