A short film titled ‘Minding’ will begin production in Carrigart next month, and the team is eager to hire locally.
‘Minding’ is one of ten projects awarded funding of €70,000 in this year’s round of Focus Shorts, Screen Ireland’s flagship short film scheme.
The scheme highlights strong and original storytelling, visual flair, and production values appropriate to the big screen.
‘Minding’ is written by Shannon Welby from Donegal Town, directed by Emily Foran from Co. Down, and produced by Grace Odumosu from Dublin.
The rural story is about a mother who drops her college student daughter, now finished up her weekend job at home, to the bus heading to the city – and to life without her.
Multiple paid positions are available for experienced crew members to be part of the film shoot on 26th, 27th and 28th of November.
