A woman has appeared in court charged with stealing more than €36,000 from the bank account of a family member.
Amy Harpur’s case was called at this week’s sitting of Letterkenny District Court before Judge Eiteain Cunningham.
The 25-year-old accused woman’s address was given as Pump Street in Carrigans.
She is charged that she did steal property to wit €36,027 the property of Andrew Harpur at Ulster Bank , Main Street in Ballybofey.
The alleged thefts took place between June 7th, 2021 and July 10th, 2022.
The charge is Contrary to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act of 2001.
Garda Sergeant Gerard Dalton asked for the case to be adjourned to allow for a Book of Evidence to be served or to hear directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Judge Cunningham adjourned the case until December 9th.
