Liam Grant, from Buncrana, ready and eager to represent Team Ireland at the ISKA World Championships in Austria, which takes place from October 23-27 in Vienna.
The talented 15-year-old trains at the Strike Martial Arts Academy in Derry.
“It’s going to be a tough championship for teams all over the world,” Grant said. “I’m going to give it my all and hope I can bring a world title back home to Buncrana.”
As he prepares for this prestigious international competition, Grant expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him throughout his journey. “I want to thank everyone who has helped me over the years, from starting kickboxing at six to heading to a world championship at 15,” he said. “The generosity of my family, friends, and community is amazing.”
Grant also acknowledged the invaluable support of his team at Strike, his coach Pinta, and his sponsors. He thanked Jonny Morrison PT for his strength and conditioning training, CS Injury Clinic and Remedial Massage for their full-body massages, The Rabbit Hole, and E17 Sportswear for providing him with sports gear.
