Nominations are officially open, as the search for the next Donegal Person of the Year begins.
The Donegal Association Dublin has opened nominations for this year’s award, with a storied list of past winners.
Last year’s winner was Clannad singer Moya Brennan, with winners in previous years including Noel Cunningham, Jason Black, Shay Given and Daniel O’Donnell.
The Donegal Association say that their main criteria for the award is “that the person nominated should be from Donegal and have made a significant contribution to the promotion of the county at local, national or international level.”
Submissions may include ” the reasons for the nomination and may include supporting documentation and endorsements from individuals and groups.”
You can nominate your choice for the 2024 Donegal Person of the Year through the Donegal Association website (donegalassociation.ie), by emailing info@donegalassociation.ie, or by writing to The Donegal Association, 33 Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2.
