Gaoth Dobhair 2-05 v 0-06 St Eunan’s
By Charlie Collins
Two second-half goals by Fergal Delaney and sub Martin Coyle proved the difference for winners Gaoth Dobhair after they had only managed two points in the first-half of this Senior B final against St Eunan’s.
After a scoreless opening period of thirteen minutes St Eunan’s hit two quick points from David Boyle and Noel O Donnell. Boyle added his second in the 23rd before Liam Breathnach opened Gaoth Dobhair’s account in 26th minute.
Philip Doherty restored Eunan’s three point lead but with the final kick of the half Sean O Boail converted a free to leave two in at the break, 0-04 to 0-02 to St Eunan’s.
Brandon Jordan made it a three way game but Gweedore then hit back strongly with a super Fergal Delaney finish, a point from Sean O Baoil, a second goal by sub Martin Coyle and a Neil McGee point to take command, 2-04 to 0-05.
David Boyle and Peter McGee exchanged points but Gweedore had things under control as they took the Senior B title.
