The producers of RTE’s DIY SOS: The Big Build have issued a nationwide call for families who need a significant home renovation.
DIY SOS: The Big Build combines the goodwill of trades, suppliers, contractors and the community to give families a greater quality of life free of charge.
“Baz Ashmawy and the team want to hear from families across the country who may be struggling to cope with a devastating illness or life-changing condition, who need help to rebuild their homes. We can hopefully help to transform their lives in the process,” said producers Indiepics.
“DIY SOS: The Big Build showcases Ireland’s incredible community spirit. It quietly celebrates the generosity, dedication and pure altruism of big-hearted volunteers and suppliers, all who work tirelessly to help change someone’s life in a very tangible way – by making their house a home again.”

The stipulation is that homeowners must own their own home to be considered for build or renovation projects.
