Two of Donegal’s young horse racing stars took wins this week, as Patrick McGettigan and Dylan Browne McMonagle again found success.
Letterkenny’s McGettigan has gotten off to a fine start in his horse racing career which is only months old, after moving up from the pony racing ranks.
Patrick brought home the win aboard Blues Emperor for trainer J P Murtagh during yesterday evening’s racing at Dundalk, winning in the 7pm Irishinjuredjockeys.com handicap.
Dylan Browne McMonagle also notched two wins in as many days this week as he continues an impressive 2024.
He won during Thursday’s meeting at Thurles, taking the win in the 4:50pm Horse & Jockey Maiden on Soul of Spain for J P O’Brien.
Browne McMonagle then also saw success yesterday evening in Dundalk as he won the 5:25pm Irish EBF Median Sires Series Fillies Maiden on Meg’s A Star, again for trainer J P O’Brien.
