A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of 24-year-old Donegal man Kyle McDermott on Sunday night.
Daniel Hanna, 24, from Victoria Road in Strabane, appeared at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court this morning.
He faces a charge of manslaughter following the death of Kyle McDermott in Ballymagorry, outside Strabane. The incident, described as a “violent altercation”, took place outside Kyle’s home where he was living with his partner.
RTE News reports that the accused spoke only to confirm he understood the charge.
Police told the court that they could connect the defendant to the charge.
The case is due to be heard again on 31st October.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced for Kyle, who is from Burt in Donegal. He is survived by his partner Chloe, his mother Claire, father Stephen, sister Stephanie and brothers Arden and Sheehan.
