Locals are being saught to provide stories and memories of the historical McSwyne’s Castle in West Donegal.
It’s as part of a local history preservation project, under the EU’s DACCHE scheme that aims to preserve locations that are under threat from climate change.
This is especially relevant to McSwyne’s Castle as last year, it was feared that the structure could fall into the sea due to erosion by the sea.
The preservation workshop event is being held at the Dunkineely Community Centre tomorrow, Tuesday the 8th of October starting at 3pm.
Anyone with local knowledge and stories relating to McSwyne’s Castle is being asked to come along and share their knowledge so it can be digitally preserved for future generations.
