Gardaí in the Buncrana and Ballyshannon Districts seized two vehicles and issued a number of fines as the RSA’s Road Safety Week got underway today.
Gardaí in Buncrana and Donegal Town issued fines to a number of drivers who did not have sufficient tread on their tyres, which was one of the main focuses of the RSA’s Road Safety Week campaigns.
Vehicles were seized by Gardaí in Buncrana as they were found to have some combination of no tax, NCT or insurance also.
Enforcement officers from the RSA were also out on the roads with Gardaí at the checkpoints, and seized two vehicles who had excessively worn tyres.
