€750,000 is set to be invested in vital sports and community projects across Donegal, it has been announced.
The CLÁR funding will support the development of sports and outdoor facilities such as playgrounds, astro-turf pitches, running tracks and spectator stands.
Community Centres and Local Halls will also be upgraded and given a new lease life as part of the initiative.
There is also a big focus on supporting schools by investing in play areas.
The projects in Donegal are:
Fine Gael Senator Nikki Bradley, who welcomed the funding for Donegal today, said “I know that the CLÁR Programme makes such a difference to communities across Donegal.
“When I met Minister Humphreys recently, I made the case for Donegal to get a sizeable investment. Today, we are seeing that first hand.
“These projects are about supporting communities on the ground – communities that I intend to represent as a TD if I am privileged enough to be elected.”
