A brilliant team of students from PCC Falcarragh have qualified for the Junk Kouture World Final.
Their design, called “Lady of the Landscape”, is inspired by peat bog, and was shown off at the Irish finals of the competition last night.
The Falcarragh students competed against teams from around the country at the Helix in Dublin, and were announced as one of the ten Irish entries that will head to the World Final which will be hosted in Monaco.
Under the direction of Home Economics teacher Ms Mairéad Harkin, students Éabha Mc Ginley, who modelled the design, Aising McFadden and Sinéad Browne will now take on creations from the finalists of the Paris, London, New York and Abu Dhabi competitions.
A strong cohort of supporters travelled to Dublin last night and made their voices heard – now Falcarragh will be fully behind the girls when they jet off to the glamour of Monaco in a few months’ time.
