The 61-year-old woman was killed after the two-car crash, which happened in Newtownabbey shorly before 3pm yesterday afternoon.
The woman has been named locally as Avril Seeds.
In a statement, PSNI Inspector Cherith Adair said that “Officers attended alongside colleagues from other emergency services, but sadly Avril died at the scene.”
“We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing to any witnesses or to anyone with dash-cam or other footage that could assist with our enquiries.”
