Gardaí are urging people to be aware of second-hand sales following the recent theft of a ‘Grant’ condensing oil burner from a house in Doochary.

The burglary occurred in the area of Radharc an Seipeal sometime between 3pm on Friday the 13th of September and 9am on Monday the 16th of September.

A garda spokesperson said: “If anybody observed any suspicious activity in that area between those dates or if they have any relevant information, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060.

“Should anybody come across a similar type of burner for sale on a second hand basis, we ask them to alert Gardaí so it can be checked out. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.”
