Motorbike enthusiasts from all over the northwest donated fantastic funds to Lough Swilly RNLI services yesterday.
The charity run from Burt to Buncrana began with a blessing of the bikes by well-known biker priest, Fr. Gerry Sweeney at St. Aengus’ Church. The bikers then revved onwards to the RNLI Station at Ned’s Point for refreshments in the sunshine.

Fr. Sweeney, a native of Derry, who recently became the Parish Priest of Dungiven, has a long-standing connection with the biker community. His annual blessing grows in popularity each year and the Lough Swilly RNLI volunteers were delighted to be beneficiaries.
“Many thanks to Father Sweeney and all his biker family for their continued support, it is greatly appreciated,” they said.
