The latest set of opinion polls show that Fine Gael’s lead at the top is seemingly growing,
They are up two further percentage points in the latest Business Post/Red C poll, to 23 percent support – which according to the Business Post is leading some in Government circles to call for an early November election.
According to the poll, that puts them 5 percent ahead of both their current main coalition partner, as well as the biggest opposition party.
Fianna Fáil have dropped 1 point to 18 percent, with Sinn Fein dipping 2 points, also to 18 percent.
Meanwhile Independent candidates have remained on 15 percent support.
The Social Democrats are on 6 percent, Labour, the Green Party, Aontú and Independent Ireland are all on 4 percent, and People Before Profit are at 3 percent support.
