A man in his 60s lost his life in a collision in Bunbeg yesterday.
The single-vehicle motorcycle accident occurred on the R257 between Bunbeg and Dore at approximately 2.50pm.
The man was fatally injured, making him the sixth person to die on Donegal’s roads in the past two weeks.
The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements are being made for a post-mortem examination.
The road has since re-opened after being closed throughout the day for was Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
“Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward,” said a statement.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.”
