Lough Swilly Marina Fun Day raises thousands for local RNLI

The second annual Lough Swilly Marina Fun Day has raised €5,736 for the local branch of the RNLI.

Gareth Evans from Lough Swilly RNLI is pictured above receiving the massive cheque from Des Crumlish, Mark Helferty, Andrew McAllister and Gary McLaughlin (Marina Manager). The money was raised at the second annual  Lough Swilly Marina Fun Day in Fahan.

“Many thanks to the David Craig Band and to Gary and all the marina team for their continued support. It is greatly appreciated by all at the station,” an RNLI spokesperson said.

Funds from last year’s event also provided a new public access defibrillator for the Fahan area which is located at the marina.
