The Ballybofey, Stranorlar & District Historical Society held a very successful open day at a local man’s private farm museum during Heritage Week.
The event at Tony Gallinagh’s fascinating farm and country museum in Dunwiley, Stranorlar, drew hundreds of curious visitors over the day. Tony, a local historian and author, recently acquired additional artifacts to add to his already large collection. The free event had a voluntary donation box which raised hundreds of euros for the Donegal Hospice.
Membership of the historical society is rising all the time, so if you are interested in local history, come and join them.
Meetings and talks take place on the fourth Monday of the month, resuming in September.
