Donegal influencer Mandy Sheerin (aka Mandy Cherie) is set to appear on RTE’s ‘Best Place to Be’ this month.
Mandy, 26, has been living in Paris since 2017, embracing the chic life of marketing and content creation.
On Tuesday 17th September, she will be one of the expats sharing her experience of life by the Seine with Baz Ashmawy on his exploratory travel series.
‘Best Place to Be’ seeks to find out why people leave Ireland and settle abroad.
Across the second series, Baz visits Belgium, Portugal, France, Sweden, Switzerland, and Cyprus meeting a variety of Irish people in their adopted home to see how they live, work and play.
Episode three, airing on Tuesday 17th September on RTE One at 7pm, meets Ruth Algar, 70, from Westmeath, who left Mullingar for France to work as an au pair when she was just 23. Ruth reminisces about her very successful athletics career in Ireland and then France. She is the only athlete to represent both Ireland and France at a senior level in sprinting.
Now, all these years later she has created a wonderful life in France where she has two grown up daughters and grandchildren.
In central Paris with the Eiffel Tower as their backdrop Baz and Mandy Cherie strike a pose, and a little off the beaten tourist track Baz meets, 40-year-old, former haute couture embroiderer Rebecca Devaney who runs Textile Tours of Paris. Rebecca brings Baz on a tour of St Ouen Flea Market, where he gets to grips with Parisian style.
