Katie-George Dunleavy and Eve McCrystal have secured a brilliant silver medal for Ireland this afternoon in Paris.
Katie-George, who has Donegal roots through her father John, now has a haul of six total Paralympic cycling medals – including medals from the last three games in Rio, Tokyo and Paris.
Dunleavy and McCrystal gave a brilliant effort as they fell just short to Britain’s Sophie Unwin and pilot Jenny Hall, who had set a new World Record on route to the Women’s B Individual Pursuit final.
Still, Dunleavy’s effort marks Ireland’s second medal of the Paralympic games, and second in the Velodrome – after Martin Gordon claimed silver in the men’s 1000m time trial B.
