Summer’s not over yet! Ireland is set to bask in beautiful summer sunshine this weekend, according to forecasters.
Temperatures are due to reach 22C highs in the final weekend of August.
After a disappointingly wet summer, this could be the chance to break out the BBQ, says popular BBC NI forecaster Barra Best!
Friday and Saturday will be dry with “good spells of sunshine”, says Met Eireann.
We’ll see warm temperatures of up to 19C on Friday, heating up to 18-22C on Saturday.
Sunday is a little uncertain yet, as forecasters predict “mainly dry with sunny spells”.
“A spell of rain from the southwest later will move slowly northeastwards over the country, heavy at times. Highest temperatures 18 to 21 degrees in light to moderate southeasterly winds,” said Met Eireann.
Overall, it looks like a weekend to dust off the sunnies and make a break for the beach!
