Errigal College in Letterkenny has welcomed more than 100 new First Year students embarking on their post-primary journey this week.
Four class groups started an induction programme at the school on Monday, designed to help them transition smoothly into their new school environment, build lasting friendships, and enjoy some fun along the way.
Principal, Mr Danny McFadden said: “As we open our doors to over 100 new students to our school this week, I am delighted to extend a ‘céad míle fáilte’ to each of them on behalf of our entire school community.
“We are committed to supporting every student as they embark on their educational journey through post-primary school, confident that our incredible team of staff will guide and enable them to achieve their full potential.
“We are deeply grateful to the dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly to coordinate this programme and who truly care for our students’ well-being.
“I would also like to acknowledge the special role that parents and guardians play in the lives of our young people. Their support and involvement are crucial in helping their young people navigate this important time, and we look forward to partnering with them to ensure they thrive in our school community.”
