Rain fails to dampen spirits of brilliant Donegal Half-Marathon runners – Pic Special

Runners and walkers across Donegal are used to the rain.

So it didn’t surprise the almost 500 competitors who looked out their windows this morning and saw enough rain to fill the Aura swimming pool on an average day.

But that didn’t dampen their spirits as many put in PBs around the Letterkenny course.

Photographer Joe Boland was going to try for a PB himself but found he woke with a slight hamstring – in his arm!

He took these great shots of the competitors instead!
