Three Donegal projects are to share almost €150,00 in ‘Town Centre First’ funding.
The money will go towards creating a visitor hub near Errigal Mountain, an arts centre in Ardara and a public civil space in Dungloe.
The funding is part of a €2.6 million package announced by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys.
It will assist local authorities in pre-development works for projects and support costs including detailed design, planning, procurement, professional fees, assessments and other development costs.
The first Donegal project relates to the development of a visitor hub for Errigal Mountain and will receive €50,000 to go towards professional fees for planning and design.
A further €50,000 will go towards assessing the development of a dedicated cultural arts venue in the centre of Ardara.
Finally €47,450 will go towards research into the possibility of the development of a public civil space in which events will be held in the centre of Dungloe.
