Gardaí investigating the theft of tens of thousands of euro worth of work tools carried out an early morning raid on a south Donegal property this morning.
Officers and plain clothes detectives swooped on the house in the Mountcharles area at around 8am and removed a number of items.
A spokesperson for the Garda Press Office said they had no information on the raid on their system ‘at this time.’
However, Donegal Daily understands the garda operation is in relation to a burglary that took place at Jordan Motorworx in Mountcharles on Monday, August 12.
The business was targeted at around 1am on the morning in question when two men stole valuable diagnostic equipment, power tools, batteries, chargers and Snap-on hand tools.
The expensive range of equipment include two high-value diagnostic scanners: a Snap-on Apollo D9 and a Topdon Phoenix Smart, as well as an Autel TPMS diagnostic handheld tablet. All Snap-on hand tools are distinctive green and black. Multiple Milwaukee impact wrenches and Dewalt grinders and impact wrenches were also reported stolen.
