Locals have expressed outrage after an incident of dangerous driving in Muff last night. A high-powered Lexus car was filmed performing doughnuts in the centre of the village.
The footage (below), posted on the Craic on Muff Facebook page, has been viewed almost 50,000 times. It clearly shows a motorist speeding through the village and performing doughnuts at a busy junction before driving off at speed.
“A very concerned local sent this in tonight. The middle of our village on a very busy road,” the post read.
“A village with young families and children always on the pavements and crossing the roads.”
Traffic management is in place in Muff due to ongoing road works.
Councillor Terry Crossan says he has reported the matter to Gardai and said that several locals have contacted him to express their disgust.
