A hero’s welcome awaited Olympian Kelly McGrory as she had a fantastic homecoming ceremony last night.
Kelly returned to where it all began at the Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town.
A large crowd was present to celebrate Kelly’s incredible achievements at the Paris games.
She played a crucial role as part of the Irish women’s 4x400m relay team that made the Olympic final and eventually finished fourth – as Kelly gave it her all in the heats to help them qualify.
Kelly was also joined by Irish Olympian and European 4×400 mixed relay gold medallist Thomas Barr on stage as two of Ireland’s Olympic and athletics greats were celebrated on a fun night.
