The historic cottage after which the well-known McGrory’s Brae is named has gone up for sale.
The beautiful traditional cottage is the home of the McGrory family, and is located outside of Ballybofey.
McGrory’s Brae, on the Ballybofey to Donegal Town main road, is located just to the north of the property’s 16.8 acres of farmland that are also up for sale with the cottage.
The cottage features three bedrooms, with oil-fired central heating. There are also a number of traditional farm outbuildings on the property for use, including a livestock handling yard and cattle crush.
Meanwhile the 16.8 acres of land consists of open meadows, and there is a roadway that runs centrally through the farm to allow good access to the fields.
The guide price for the property is currently set at €210,000.
The property is being sold by Henry Kee and Son, who in the listing are recommending early inspection of the property for anyone interested, as “early news of this unique property coming to the market is already generating lots of interest.”
