Four new community defibrilators have been installed in the Twin Towns.
It’s after the fundraising efforts of local paramedic Aiden Thompson, who set up a fundraising campaign in recent months to purchase the lifesaving equipment to be installed across Ballybofey and Stranorlar.
After smashing his initial goal of €6,000, the local community ended up raising over twice that figure, with the final number standing at over €13,300.
That means the defib machines can now be placed widely across the twin towns and their surrounding areas, with the first four being installed this week.
Aiden was there to oversee their installation at Kelly’s bottling store, Drumboe, the B&S Credit Union, the Roadhouse Bar, Cappry and at the Supervalu/NK Pharmacy.
