Rosses AC are celebrating after three of their athletes won All-Ireland Masters golds.
The club had 4 athletes who made the journey to Tullamore to take in the Masters All Ireland Track and Field Championships and it was to prove another successful day for the club with 4 gold medals and 2 bronze medals.

Aidan Gillespie won the M50 100m Hurdles in 15.37. Kevin Duffy took bronze in the shot put with a throw of 9.64m and gold in javelin with a throw of 30.46m. Helen McCready won gold in the W35 3000m in 10:15.32 and also gold in the 1500m in 4:56.64.
Claire O’Donnell took bronze in the W40 3000m with a fine performance of 11:28.53. Thanks to all our Masters for proudly representing the club on the national stage.
The club helped host a number of races in the last few weeks with the Dungloe 5k and the Carrickfinn Coastal 10k and 5k.
At the Carrickfinn 10k/5k run with the stunning views Declan Ferry retained his title as he worked hard to the line for a strong time of 35:24 he was followed by Paul Finnegan and Milfords Joe Gibbons in 3rd. Patrick Trimble 4th 38:52 (1st m50), Shane O Donnell 40:33, Gavin Ward 41:49 1st M40, Eoin Boyle 44:32, Kenn Bates 45:42, Denis Boner 47:3, Adrian Bonner 48:30, Shane Trearty 51:08, Michael Doherty 53:10, Paddy Solan 53:17, Justin McGreevy 1:03:31. Helen McCready worked her way round in a great time of 41:08 to take the win, Bernie Boyle 44:08, Martina Mulhern 46:22. Karen Devenney 54:46, Shauna McGinley 55:43, Marie Gallagher 1:07::34.
In the 5k race Parker Deacon took a brilliant overall win in 23:38. First Lady working her way back from injury was Cathy Breslin in a strong time of 23:57.
At the Dungloe 5k first Rosses man back was Mark Ward in 17:08, Patrick Trimble first M50 17:36 and Gary Scully first M40 17:38. Maria Ni Mhaolagain won the ladies section in 17:56, Helen McCready 18:11 and Claire O Donnell 19:06. Karen Devenney won the F40 in 23:52 Collette Bonner F50 category 27:55.
At the Bluestack way ultra 25k/50k and queen Maeve IMRA race a number of Rosses male athletes took on the 25 km and 50 km races. In the 25km race Eoin Boyle was 2nd with Noel O Donnell 3rd.
In the grueling 50km race Declan Gallagher showed his great strength and toughness to finish in superb 5th place, Paul McKelvey 9th and Kenn Bates. At the Dunlewey Fheile an Earagail 5k first man back was Rosses flyer Declan Ferry in a scorching 15:07, Charlie Postie 15:46.
The ladies saw Fionnuala Diver 18:51 and Leah Ward 3rd in 19:40, Michelle Ferguson 23:07 and Eileen Harkin 23:40.
