The Crossroads and Killygordon Wednesday Club for older people enjoyed a lively social last week.
A healthy attendance of 44 were present for the event prior to the club closing up for a summer break for the month of August.
After enjoying their usual events of dancing, card games and bingo, all of which are geared to mental and physical stimulation, attendees were treated to an excellent two-course lunch provided by Yes Chef Catering.
The cost was partly covered by Crossroads and Killygordon Enterprise (CAKE) through Donegal County Council’s Development Fund Initiative (DFI) which was greatly appreciated.
Despite the summer break, kurling practice will continue during August between 1pm – 3 pm.
The Wednesday Club will resume in full on the 4 th September. New members are always welcome.
The club will also host another tea dance on Wednesday 18th of September, and hopefully a day out in October.
The club organisers would like to thank all their members and also to Susie Houston and her team at the HSE for their valuable advice and help over many years.
