Bundoran RNLI has hosted a special event as part of the RNLI’s commemorative relay celebrating the organisation’s 200th anniversary.
The ceremonial scroll is travelling through every RNLI region and country throughout 2024, symbolising unity and dedication to the charity’s volunteer lifesaving efforts.
The scroll arrived in Bundoran on Friday last, August 9th.
The journey of the scroll began on March 4, 2024, at the Service of Thanksgiving held at Westminster Abbey, marking the RNLI’s bicentennial and on Friday representatives from the local crew at the Bundoran station signed the scroll on behalf of the wider crew and supporters in the local community.
The scroll will continue its journey until October 2024, concluding its remarkable path in Douglas, Isle of Man, the former home of RNLI founder Sir William Hillary.
