Today is set to be a fine day for the most part – with a big turn late on.
Met Éireann’s latest forecasts for Donegal show that temperatures could reach as high as 22 to 25 degrees celsius today.
Plenty of sunny spells are expected, with conditions expected to stay dry into the evening.
Overnight tonight however, the weather is set to take a turn with heavy and persistent rain expected – and a nationwide status yellow warning to boot.
The rain is expected to turn thundery at points, with a chance of localised flooding tonight as well.
The weather warning is set to stay in place from midnight tonight until 8am on Monday morning.
