Donegal’s Erin McLaughlin got her footballing career in the south of England off to a fine start today.
She netted two goals and assisted another, as Portsmouth Women swept aside Watford 5-1 in a pre-season friendly.
McLaughlin struck twice in the final ten minutes of the first half, and set up Pompey’s Ava Rowbotham for the fourth of their five goals.
After starring for Peamount United and the Irish national team in recent years, the Culdaff woman has hit the ground running on the south coast.
