Rhasidat Adeleke has made the final of the Olympic 400 metres.
The 21-year-old Irishwoman put in a strong performance but had to settle for second place behind the impressive Salwa eid Naser who crossed the finish line in a time of 49.08.
Dubliner Adeleke was next in 49.95, the only other athlete to break the 50 second mark in the race.
The Tallaght woman will need all her speed and determination if she is to medal in a packed final.
