Boxer Kellie Harrington has written her name into the Irish history books after claiming a second successive gold medal.
The Dublin boxer beat her Chinese opponent Yang in a split decision at the Olympic Games in Paris.
“This one was for me,” Kellie told RTE Sport. “That’s the last hurrah.”
Kellie once again fought the perfect fight as she looked strong throughout the three rounds.
Thousands of Irish fans packed into the venue to watch Kellie go to war.
She entered the ring to the sounds of The Cranberries song Zombie and went about unleashing a barrage of punches which the Chinese boxer could not live with.
Kellie has now hinted that she will retire from boxing.
But not before the mother of all homecomings!
