A man aged in his 20s has died following a road traffic accident in North Sligo.
Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene of the collision between a van and a lorry on the N15 at Urlar, Drumcliffe, shortly after 6am this morning.
The scene of the accident is approximately 25 kilometres away from the Donegal border.
The male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem of his remains will now take place in due course.
The driver of the lorry was transferred to Sligo University Hospital for assessment of non life-threatening injuries.
Diversions are currently in place on the N15 this morning between Urlar and Grange.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses of the collision to come forward.
