Donegal rally driver Eamonn Kelly secured a 6th place finish in a competitive JuniorWRC field this weekend.
It marks his best finish since securing a podium in Sweden to start the year in the World Rally Championship’s third tier.
Kelly powered his Ford Fiesta R3through the fast and unrelenting stages in Finland, and recorded a number of competitive stage times to lie third at one point in the event.
And despite an unfortunate puncture on SS15, he still took a solid 6th placed finish in one of the toughest events on the world rally calendar.
Eamonn is now 9th in the JWRC standings, ahead of their final round of the season at the famous Acropolis Rally in Greece next month.
