A Donegal woman has launched a fundraiser as she looks to help her beloved dog, Lexi.
Jodie Lydon is well known for her work finding lost animals in the Twin Towns area, and helping bring stray and rescue cats and kittens back to health in her care.
However, Jodie now needs help to heal one of her own beloved pets.
Her dog, Lexi, unfortunately became ill after an altercation with one of the rescue cats that Jodie is housing, leaving her with an unexpected £5,000 medical bill.
Lexi requires a specialist surgery to relieve pressure on her spine after becoming partially paralysed – a surgery that can only be carried out by vets in Belfast.
A GoFundMe for Lexi’s medical bills has been launched, and has raised just over €1,200 of the €6,000 goal.
