A well-known Donegal band have been left heartbroken after thieves stole their valuable merchandise collection.
The Byrne Brothers became a huge sensation in America after moving there from their native Mountcharles six years ago.
The group, which includes brothers Finn, Luca, Dempsey and dad Tommy have headlined lots of festivals across the pond.
But this week, while touring across Sandy Springs, Georgia, and Elkville, Illinois, they were targeted by thieves.
The heartbroken musicians posted on Facebook that they were just delighted none of their precious musical instruments were stolen.
They said “We’ve suffered a setback on our summer tour with the theft of our entire merchandise stock from our trailer last night, including our new CD, clothing, and promotional items
“We’re working to get some replacement shirts made for Iowa this weekend and hope to rebuild our stock as we move from festival to festival.
“We have an amazing summer of gigs and festivals coming up and plan to enjoy every minute and grateful it wasn’t any of our instruments or one of us that got stolen.”
