Olympic medallist Mona McSharry will be swimming for Ireland again this morning in the 200m breaststroke heats.
McSharry has been keeping her focus on the next challenge at La Defense after her sensational bronze medal win in the 100m breaststroke on Monday.
The Sligo swimmer, who trained with the Marlins Swimming Club in Ballyshannon, celebrated her win – and Ireland’s first medal of 2024 – with a chocolate muffin.
Speaking to press about her plans after Monday’s event, she said “We are not done yet! Try and calm down tonight, and I might get a chocolate muffin, that’s my sweet delight.”
The Women’s 200m breaststroke heats will take place at 10am Irish time.
