The next community clean up will be at St. John’s Point Beach (Trá ban) on Saturday 3 rd August at 12 noon.
This clean is in preparation for the Killaghtee Festival weekend, so come on down!
As always, we will provide gloves, pickers and bags. We suggest you bring sensible shoes, a coat, suntan cream and water. We hope to see you there.
Naomh Ultan 50th
Join Naomh Ultan at Páirc Naomh Ultan for their 50th Anniversary Celebrations this weekend!
The 50th Anniversary Weekend will take place from 2 nd to 4 th August, coinciding with the August Bank Holiday.
The schedule of events spans the entire weekend, featuring activities and festivities to commemorate this significant milestone. The celebration will culminate in the 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance on Sunday evening, 4 th August.
Car Boot Sale
The next Killaghtee Parish Boot Sale will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 5 th August, from 10am.
Plenty of parking and bargains to be had.
Coach Trip
As part of the Killaghtee Festival and Heritage week, we are inviting you to join us on a coach trip to two of Donegal’s most beautiful places.
Friday 23 rd August 9:30am to 5pm. Leaves from Dunkineely Community Centre. Join us as we take a trip to Ards Forest, with breathtaking coastal scenery, beautiful woodland trails, rivers, lakes and megalithic tombs, Ards Forest Park is easily one of the most beautiful and varied of Ireland’s forest parks with trees down to the water’s edge.
We will then travel to Glenveagh National park, where you can visit the castle, have a picnic and/or have some lunch at the café. We then travel back to Dunkineely for some soup and homemade bread, while we watch a programme on the old Donegal railway system.
All for €10, including entrance to the castle and a light tea on return.

Boat Trip
Tickets on sale now! Leaving from Killybegs at 6pm on Sunday 25 th August, we will take a leisurely 2 hour trip around the point, taking in some stunning local sites.
Join us and Atlantic Coastal Cruises as we look out for dolphins, seals, tuna, basking sharks and many species of birds. There will be a bar and entertainment throughout the trip. Brought to you at the very low price of just €15 per person.
